Big brother for Babease

Looking for snacks on the go for your toddler? Babease has come to the rescue with its new brand, Kidease.

The new toddler snacks will help parents fight the war on sugar, building on the firm foundation laid by Babease’s existing range, which champions “food for babies, not baby food.”

Kidease aims to introduce young children to nutritious, wholesome food, broadening the palates of young eaters while continuing to establish savoury taste buds ahead of sweet ones.

Two new savoury Kidease puff snacks are breaking the mould of traditional 100% corn based puffs by adding plant-based protein, chickpea and quinoa – and by avoiding added sugar and salt. Naturally high in fibre and protein, both are also gluten and dairy free. The single foil packs are available now from Ocado (RRP £0.80/20g pack).

Perfect for filling the gaps between meals, the two tasty varieties initially on offer will be Carrot, Tomato, Herbs and Spices; and Beetroot, Carrot and Parsley.

Tom Redwood, professional chef and founder of Babease and Kidease, has created all recipes to be healthy and stimulate tiny taste buds. He says: “We are really excited to add Kidease to our growing family. Our new range of nutritionally-balanced, delicious products will be based on all-natural, savoury ingredients for children aged one and above.

We believe in championing savoury options as both a snack and mealtime mainstay; we really want to play a role in combating childhood obesity and sugar addiction. By actively encouraging little ones to build a preference for savoury tastes, there’s a far greater chance they will be open to healthier snacks and meals and turn away from choosing more sugary alternatives.”
