The hotel
Choose from the main hotel or stay in your own Tuscan villa whilst enjoying all the amenities of the hotel. Set in one of the largest private estates in Italy is the magical Castello di Casole, surrounded by vineyards and orchards of olive trees. Two cypress-lined avenues lead you to the historic castle, which is now a 41-suit boutique hotel. Dotted around the surrounding hills are restored farmhouse villas, each with a glass-tiled private pool.

Housekeeping and room service are available in the villas, as is a private chef, as well as in the hotel itself and all bathrooms and kitchens are fitted luxuriously, as befits a hotel represented by the Preferred Hotels Group. Use the Essere spa for a massage or treatment, enjoy the estate wine or dine in the hotel’s fine and casual dining rooms such as the Ristorante Tosca with its restored stone walls and Murano glass chandeliers, serving traditional Italian cuisine with a twist. Handmade pasta, organic vegetables and local game are on the menu. Take part in cycling and walking, hunt for truffles, take a class in pasta making or the Italian language, get arty – or join in the grape harvest!

Connecting rooms and suites are available to help you keep an eye on your little one at all times and if you choose a villa, you have a full kitchen to make meals and snacks for the family. The Castello offers special family rates and is pushchair-accessible. Cribs or cots can be provided as well as playpens, highchairs and roll-away beds. The Conceirge can help you plan excursions and there are special spa services for kids as well as cookery lessons, story and pool time, games, books and TV shows to keep little ones entertained. There is a children’s menu in the restaurant and a babysitting services is available on request.
