Gro collaborates with Illustrator Rob Ryan

Super cool new sleeping bag designs

The Gro Company has been making its iconic Gro bags for around 17 years now and has helped parents across the UK get their babies to sleep in a warm and cosy Gro bag ever since.

With different sizes and Tog ratings, parents have been able to choose just the right bag for their baby in a range of stunning prints.

A whole new collection has just been launched by Gro in collaboration with Rob Ryan, the celebrated illustrator whose distinctive paper cut style and screen prints has made him one of the most instantly recognisable artists of the 21st Century.

We were invited to Rob’s quirky studio in trendy Bethnal Green to meet the man himself and find out how Gro worked with Rob to create the new bags.

Rob Ryan and GroRob has used the shape of the bag to create each version of his new collection and has used the recurring theme of birds nesting and bringing their own little baby birds into the world. The result is three designs; Night Fall, Spring Morning and Summer Day.

Rob Ryan and GroDesign Manager at The Gro Company Amy Walker described the process of working with Rob and described it as one of the easiest and nicest collaborations the company had every worked on.

The collection will be available exclusively at Mothercare from mid-July.
