Britax has been making infant car seats for decades and has an excellent track record on safety and innovation. This Group 0+ seat has a neat integral headrest and padded insert that allow your baby to be positioned in the best way for good spinal development. It is one of the safest seats on the market and always scores high in crash tests. The inside is well padded for safety and comfort and its integral adaptors mean you can pop the BabySafe directly onto most Britax pushchairs plus a few other brands that accept it to form a clever travel system. It has a five point safety harness with well padded chest and crotch areas and the harness can be adjusted as your baby grows into a second set of slots – you have to remove the straps to do this and then re-insert them in the other slots. The handle is comfortable to grasp and can be easily adjusted and it comes with a sun and wind canopy that has UV protection of SPF 50+. All the covers can be removed and machine washed at 30 degrees. The rocking base is good for calming a crying baby.
