A versatile carrier that can be used in several positions, this is able to carry quite a heavy child – up to about 20kg – as long as you can! This means you can keep it with you and when your child gets tired, you’ll be able to carry him without having to drag a pushchair along. When using it on your front, your baby faces you and you need to use an insert for newborns to keep them in the optimum position – her head and neck are well supported for the months when she can’t hold up her head and when taking naps. It can be used with your baby facing out when they are able to hold their head up, on your hip and also on your back. It is made from well padded organic cotton on the inside with an outer layer of a mixture of organic cotton and hemp – soft and strong and it will get softer with use. It can be washed in the machine on 30 degrees with a mild detergent. It can be a bit difficult to work out how to use it the first time but this is true of most carriers – you’ll be putting it on and off all the time and eventually it becomes second nature. Make sure you adjust it to continue to fit your baby as she grows. The shoulder straps are deeply padded for comfort and you can use them straight over the shoulders or crossed, whichever you find the most comfortable and the waist belt helps distribute the baby’s weight to your pelvis.
