Improving road safety

Car seat experts Nuna supports the safety of our children when travelling on the road

According to the Child Accident Prevention Trust, 12 children under the age of 10 in the UK are killed or injured as passengers in cars every day*.

With this in mind Nuna, the car seat manufacturer, is supporting Road Safety Week (Monday 18th – Sunday 24thNovember, 2019) with its simple Car Seat Safety check list – to help demystify the car seat fitting process and keep children as safe as possible on the road.

Damon Marriott, Head of Product Development at Nuna says, “A poorly fitted or set up car seat can lead to potentially devastating results if involved in a collision. ISOFIX attachment (where the seat connects to points on the car’s chassis) helps to drastically reduce installation errors. The most common problem, which applies to both belted and ISOFIX seats, is that the seat has not been adjusted to suit the height of the child with regards to the harness and headrest height. With Nuna seats, like Rebl Plus & Norr, we incorporate ISOFIX installation and utilise a three-stage progressive insert and a no-rethread harness systems, to help tailor the fit to the growing needs of the child”.

Edmund King, President of the AA says: “Children are the most precious cargo we carry in our cars. It is essential that drivers ensure that any child they transport in their vehicles use the most appropriate child seat, fitted in the correct manner. Child seats can save lives.

From the PIPA lite lx and REBL plus to the NORR and MYTI. Nuna’s range of car seats are designed to fit children of all ages from birth right up to 12 years. Nuna’s car seats go above and beyond the call of duty with innovative material, steel strength technology and ultra resilient plastics.
