Mothercare recalls sleeping bags

mothercare recall

Baby store Mothercare is warning parents to return sleeping bags that have been incorectly labelled.

Some of their sleeping bags have a 1 tog label. However, they are actually 2.5 togs, which could cause babies to overheat, a major cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) or cot death.

The sleeping bag is white with grey stars on it with grey edging. It was offered for sale alone or as part of a set with a grey bag.

On the care labels, under code BS8510:2009, look for the 1 Tog labelling:

Style code RA217 (0 to six months)

RA218 six to 18 months)

RA219 (18- to 36-months)

For single items:

RA184 (0 to six months)

RA185 (six to 18 months)

If you are concerned, you can call Mothercare on 0344 875 5111.
