Personal trainer Sharon Porter, who has worked with mummies and mummies-to-be for over a decade, is launching a new online membership community to support women with their health and fitness during motherhood. Sharon offers a range of fitness and well-being programmes, along with expert and peer support, which mummies and mummies-to-be can access from the comfort of their own homes.
The monthly membership will be split into three distinct groups, allowing you to build relationships with others at the same stage of motherhood.
Membership offers a wide range of classes for both you and your baby. Aimed at helping women reconnect with themselves in mind, body and spirit during and after the arrival of children, on-demand classes are instantly available along with live classes delivered by Sharon and guest experts and streamed into the group. New content is added every month, with classes including fitness, strength and recovery alongside breathing techniques and sleep workshops.
Sharon says: “The support on offer will go beyond fitness. Whilst fitness offers many benefits for physical and mental health, I wanted to bring in other experts to offer the whole package of holistic support. We’ll cover everything from writing pregnancy journals and meditation to yoga, nutrition, baby massage and more.
“The community aspect of the membership will also allow you to build those crucial relationships and support systems with those at the same stage of motherhood.”
Sharon is co-author of the number one bestseller The Warrior Wellbeing Toolkit, covering the topic of self-identity and its role in mental health for women. Sharon’s contribution to the book centres on Perinatal Mental Health – the period during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
Sharon has worked as a personal trainer for over 10 years and established Buggy 4 Fitness in 2013 after training her sister after the birth of her first child and again when her second child arrived. Sharon spotted a gap in the market for exercise classes for new mummies, particularly those where the children can come along too.
