Dyson Pure Cool Link review

The Dyson Pure Cool Link is a new air purifier from the company that brought you the eponymous cleaner which helps you keep your home’s air pure and healthy for you and your baby.

It has been designed to remove harmful and allergenic particles from the air, thanks to its medical grade HEPA filter.

Read about why air quality in the nursery is so important

If your baby suffers from breathing difficulties such as asthma, has allergies or is susceptible to hayfever, a purifier is a great addition to your home or the nursery, as it can remove the allergens that can trigger attacks.

The glass HEPA filter in the purifier removes 99.9% of allergens and harmful particles from the air including pollen, bacteria and the dust from animal skins, sometimes called pet dander. Particles as small as 0.1 microns can be captured. Activated carbon also filters out smoke, odours and paint fumes – great if you have just painted the nursery.

When you first turn on the Pure Cool Link, you can monitor the quality of the air in your home using the app which you access on your smartphone.

As it starts to do its work, you will see the air quality becoming better and better. The unit continues to report to your phone, so you can see at a glance how well it is doing.

The unit is quiet and has been awarded a Quiet Mark by the Noise Abatement Society and it even has an even quieter mode for night times, which is great for the nursery as it will not disturb a sleeping baby. At night it also uses a dimmed display.

In summer, the unit can be turned up to increase air flow, which helps to cool the air in a warm room, keeping it at the right temperature for a sleeping baby and to ensure a peaceful night for all. It oscillates to reach air in every part of the room.
