Joie Pact Stroller Review

B Loves: versatile and lightweight with a great fold

Though small and lightweight, this stroller feels quite durable, so it should see some years of use, even with a heavier toddler. It even comes with its own travel bag!

This stroller also comes in the Signature range, with luxe fabrics and touches of Cognac leatherette.

Seat: The seat has multiple recline positions that you can adjust downwards with just one hand and so is suitable for a newborn and the child feels well supported and secure, as the sides of the seat create a nest. The hood is a good shape – like and old fashioned umbrella and though not the largest, it’s adequate for most days and you can add the included raincover for wet days. It also has a flip-out panel to avoid low sun rays. Inside is a five-point harness with pads and there’s a bumper bar and an adjustable leg rest.

Chassis: The stroller folds quickly and easily with one hand and has a flat folding mechanism rather than the umbrella fold of some systems. It is also free standing when folded. This makes it easy to store and easy to pop into the car’s boot. It has a nicely padded carrying strap, so you can sling it on your shoulder when holding hands with your child and if you have a bag in the other – great for getting to the door of a plane. The handle is adjustable through two positions which should be fine for most people and it is easy to push, as it is a single, curved bar rather than two handles. The basket is surprisingly generous for such a small stroller and you can get quite a lot in there, plus you can access it from the front when the leg rest is up. Perhaps this is a little more difficult with a toddler with longer legs. . Brakes are linked and are levers on both wheels at the back, so easy to find and to engage.

Wheels: The wheels are small all round and would perhaps struggle on rough ground, cobbles etc. but it handles nicely across city streets and even grassy parks and is a real gem when it comes to shopping trips and the school run. It’s also easy for public transport, as it won’t get caught by the bars just after the front seats in some of the buses. The front wheels can be locked in pace or can swivel.

Extras: All you need is included except for the car seat, though you do get the adaptors; this means you can choose the seat that’s best for you, rather than having to have the one that comes with the pushchair. The rain cover and a travel bag are included.
