B Loves: Good sound and great battery life

This monitor is a nice piece of equipment to look at with good design values and it’s also quite robust, so can stand a few knocks and being dropped from the nursery dresser now and again.

This is a digital monitor that offers both audio and video coverage.

The parent unit has a screen so that you can see your baby that is 5 inches – quite a generous size for a compact piece of kit. You can control the camera in the baby unit using controls on the parent unit and you can pan and tilt it to get a better view of your little one. The unit also shows you what the temperature is in the baby’s room too, for peace of mind. If you prefer not to have the sound on, there’s also a light display which will tell you when your baby is making noises. You can talk to your baby using the intercom feature too.

The baby unit has lullabies to soothe your baby to sleep.

You can use the Hubble app for this monitor (available on the App Store and Google Play) to use your smart[hone or tablet to view the images from the monitor. When your baby is not moving much, the monitor can use motion-sensitive recording so that you can save on video footage – you’ll need a subscription for that. Be aware that with any app, your data is at risk of being intercepted.

The video image are clear though like many, they do become a little indistinct at night. You can still your child, however.

The battery on the parent unit will last 12 hours before you need to plug it in to recharge and you get alerts to tell you when it’s running out.

The monitor cuts out interference from other cordless devices such as cordless and mobile phones, so you will get a good, crisp sound quality.

The range is pretty good and is consistently good inside, though it might be a little weaker if you go into the garden.
