The Simplicity is a Group 0+ car seat which rearward facing in the car and fits your baby from birth to around 13kg – that’s about 12 to 15 months, depending on how heavy your baby gets.

Easy to install, the seat can be put into the car using one of two methods. Firstly, you can use the car’s seat belt and the middle of the rear seat is the safest place for this, as for any car seat. Alternatively, you can purchase the Simplifix Isofix car seat base, which you install into the car using the Isofix points and then leave there, clicking the seat on and off as you need to. Be aware that the support leg for the base needs to be placed directly onto the floor of the car, so if you have a car with underfloor storage space, it’s not suitable. Check your car is compatible before you buy. The seat can also be clicked onto a Silver Cross pushchair, so you have the best of a pushchair and travel system.

Inside the seat is padding to keep your baby comfortable and safe and also a five-point safety harness with good pads for the chest and crotch areas.  The harness is easy to use. There is an adjustable, padded head support cushion that grows with your child, as does the harness, using a simple one-handed mechanism.

The seat comes with a sun hood to protect your baby from wind, rain and sun.

The covers can be removed and hand washed – this may take a little practice as you get it off the base.
