This versatile sling is suitable from newborn until your child is around two years old, or even more as long as you are strong enough to carry a heavy child. It has its own travel bag which is handy to keep it in while you’re not wearing it, or to pop it into and slip under the pushchair to give you the best of both worlds while you’re out and about – eithjer pushing or baby wearing.

This carrier works in a very simple way, as you slip it across your body and it acts like a mini hammock for your baby, held close to your body, snug and warm.  It has padded, thicker edges which offer good support for your baby and keep him held inside with no possibility of rolling out of the sling and the divided shoulder strap is nicely padded so that it will not put strain on the muscles and ligaments of your shoulder.

From this simple first use of the sling, you can then start to use it in different positions as your baby grows and gets stronger. He can sit upright on your front when he is able to hold his head up, in a ‘koala’ position, with feet and legs tucked in, facing either towards you or away from you. You can use it to breast feed with and then, when your child is older still, they can sit on your hip with the sling around their bottom and back. The adjustability and simple design of the Soohu Sling means that you can share it with your partner, a nanny or au pair, your parents – anyone who spends time with your baby. It helps to promote bonding and offers all the nurturing benefits of baby wearing. A couple of points to make to ensure you get the best out of this; when your baby is very tiny, make sure that his mouth and nose are clear of the fabric to aid easy breathing and also make sure he is not so wrapped up that he gets too hot – remember, the sling acts as another layer.

It is made from strong yet soft cotton and is machine washable at 40°C. There are several colours and designs available which change often. There are also three models available which offer slightly different benefits; The Organic made from organic cotton, The Lite, which is great for travel, indoor use and when the weather is hot as it is lightweight a nd very breathable; and The Classic which is good for any use, all year round.
