What does it mean to you to be a British brand?

NINE IN THE MIRROR was founded and is based in Britain. As an online retailer with a global outlook, being located in London means we are at the centre of one of the world’s major fashion cities and we are also close to Paris, Milan and New York.

What are the Brits best at?

Creative, daring design that isn’t afraid of breaking the rules. There is a sense of playful irreverence to British design.

How did your company begin?

The idea of NINE IN THE MIRROR came about from our mutual despair over what to wear during pregnancy. Working in fashion, we realised that there was a great selection of ready-to-wear (non-maternity) clothes that expectant women could wear without having to resort to maternity wear. NINE IN THE MIRROR features a hand-picked selection of straight-off-the-runway designer looks, in styles and sizes to suit women in their first to third trimester and beyond. Every piece is shown on and off the bump. The site also features expert editorial content with the latest in fashion, health and beauty news for expectant women.

Do you now sell abroad?

NINE IN THE MIRROR ships globally and you can shop the site in multiple currencies.

Our favourite new looks by British designers include a pleated shirt dress by Mary Katrantzou, who has given a classic silhouette a modern remix with graphic floral print, as well as a black crepe midi dress by Joseph which comes with a sleek tie at the waist. They epitomise the modern, eclectic spirit of British fashion.
