What does it mean to you to be a British brand?

Cuddledry is a small, home grown, Somerset countryside British brand.  We never really appreciated the significance of how special this is until demand for our award-winning ‘handsfree’ baby towels started to take off dramatically overseas, as well as at home.  It was at that point that our British roots became incredibly important – and the meaning to us is all about producing the very best quality, with high standards of customer care, and our brand story presented honestly, and with style.

What are the Brits best at?

We would say we are best at truly caring about what our customer thinks and feels – and going beyond the call of duty to make sure each individual customer is happy.  Us Brits really do believe in ‘Best of British’ so we strive to ensure our products are the best choice available.

How did your company begin?

We are old friends who had our first babies and discovered a need for our main product – the Original ‘handsfree’ Cuddledry baby bath towel.  Our company began after we had watched our husbands bathing our babies and struggling to lift them from the water and into a towel – a stressful juggling act every single new parent faces.  We were inspired to create a product to solve the problem, and the Cuddledry towel is now sold in over 50 nations, and has won over 50 awards, including Mumsnet Best Product for a Newborn for the last eight years!

Do you sell abroad now?

We export to countries all over the globe – with our main markets at the moment being the Middle East, South East Asia, France, South Africa, Canada, Belgium, the Netherlands and Australia.

The latest design to join the range of our Original ‘handsfree’ Cuddledry baby towels – the gorgeous snow leopard print – which joins our core range of plain colours, and our other animal and polka dot prints.  The snow leopard towels are being produced in partnership with the WWF so we are raising money to help protect this beautiful endangered species.
