B Loves: You can swivel the seat; large canopy

Seat: Made with ventilated breathable fabric, the seat can be rotated on the chassis using the pushchair’s innovative SmartHub seat rotation. It can be used from six months (this seat tilts to recline and does not have a lie-flat position, so use the bassinet up to this point) and is really easy to recline, or to rotate, using the side levers. It has a snap-on snack or play tray for baby that has a cover, so things won’t get lost and it can hold cups too. The footrest can be adjusted as your baby grows (bear in mind that you may have to push it in when you want to turn the seat from back to front). There’s a colour choice for the hood, so you can either choose black to match the seat or a variety of strong colours. It is UV resistant (SPF50+) and is an Oeko-Tek certified fabric, meaning it is non-toxic.

Chassis: The chassis is black and looks sleek and stylish. The brakes push on with one button and off on the other – simple, easy to see colour coded buttons that mean no more shoe scuffing. The handles are independently adjustable and are at a fairly comfortable angle, though pushing one handed is never going to be as comfortable with two handles as it is with a bar. There’s a double drink holder for parents. The best thing about the Orbit’s chassis is its one handed fold. You do have to remove the seat to fold the chassis and all you do is grasp the grey bar, twist it and the chassis collapses. The seat can then be placed on top to have a really compact bundle to fit in your car’s boot. The previous model’s pod style basket, though neat, was very small, so you now have the choice of the pod or a much larger basket and there are even additional side panniers so you can do even more shopping.

Wheels: It has good sized rear wheels and slightly smaller front ones that can be fixed or swicel through 360 degrees. There’s what Orbit calls “Quadshock” suspension on the front wheels and the rear wheels are rubber and puncture proof, to give an ultra-smooth ride.

Extras: The bassinet is very large and can be used for overnight sleeping. In fact, you won’t need to buy a crib or Moses basket, as this is so roomy that most kids will be able to sleep in it overnight up to around six months. It comes with a stand, which rocks so that you can soothe your baby off to sleep no matter where you are. Great for travelling too, and it has carrying handles (never lift it with your baby in the bassinet) and can be collapsed to just 15cm in height, so you can pack it easily. It has a generous hood and their “Paparazzi Shield” to really protect your baby from sun and wind – or prying eyes. The fabric can be removed for washing and the basinet can be rotated on the chassis like the seat, to face the front or rear.

You can use the G3 for more than one child by adding a Helix Plus kit, which converts it to a double stroller, or you can fix on the Sidekick Stroller Board for a toddler to ride on.
